Marsha exemplifies what it means to hero: she goes above and beyond for all of her patients, she is the epitome of a patient advocate. The wound center would not be what it is today without her, in fact, this hospital would not be where it is without her. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside Marsha for so many years. Her vast knowledge of wounds, patient care, nursing, and medicine is what helps the wound department to thrive on a daily basis.
She greats every patient with a smile treats them like they are old friends (which they probably are), and cares for them like family. I can't begin to accurately describe what Marsha means to this wound center, but to say she is the glue that keeps us together is an understatement. I can only begin to hope that I will be half the nurse she is. I know each and every one of us that has had an interaction with Marsha should consider ourselves lucky to be able to work alongside someone as passionate, intelligent, and hard-working as she is.
