Recently, a pregnant girl came into our triage via EMS. The paramedics said they picked her up behind the Circle K where she was living in a tent. She didn't have a way to clean herself or wash her clothes. She was also hungry and didn't know where she would get her next meal. Due to her circumstances, Marsha and Kim pooled their resources. While the young lady was in triage, Marsha went to Walmart and bought her 2 sets of clothes, new shoes, socks, undergarments, and some snacks. Kim ordered her a tray of food. Before she left, she had a shower, clean clothes, and a full belly. She hugged them and cried because they were so nice and kind to her. This is an example of extraordinary care.
