Over the course of her 47-year career at EvergreenHealth, Marta has served as a staff nurse, assistant clinical nurse manager, clinical nurse manager, and, most recently, nurse recruiter – impacting the organization at every level.

In 2016, she transitioned into Human Resources, where she brought her deep clinical expertise and passion for nursing into talent acquisition. Over the past decade, she has successfully recruited and hired nearly 1,000 nurses, each one carefully selected not just to fill a role, but to thrive within it.

Marta approaches recruiting with a level of intentionality that is rare and deeply meaningful. Rather than simply filling vacancies, she ensures the right nurse is matched to the right specialty and care environment. Her nuanced understanding of different clinical practice areas and individual strengths allows her to guide candidates toward roles where they can succeed – and stay. As a result, her work has directly contributed to stronger retention, more cohesive teams, and improved patient care.
