Marta always comes to work with a smile and a can-do attitude. She never complains, approaches all patients with a smile, and "How may I help you?"
Marta Reyes has the experience of an ER department nurse and it comes in handy. When our cardiac patient needs to be triaged, evaluated, or transferred to ER department with a monitor, she is always very pleasant, helpful, and never promotes or influences negative behavior. She is always very focused on our members and provides high-quality patient care.
Ms. Reyes indeed is an asset to this department and to the medical nursing industry. Ms. Reyes demonstrates extraordinary care and clinical skills and demonstrates compassion to all members and employees.

Marta Reyes exemplifies all the qualities of an RN.
Leadership Skills: Marta leads the back-office staff by acting as a resource for education, medication administration, and triaging of cardiology patients that the BOS is concerned about. She speaks up when needed and is a patient advocate. She has taken a lead role in getting the Cardiologists to standardize their frequent patient complaints, concerns to ensure they have any necessary tests needed prior to their appointment.
Exemplary Service: Marta gives all her patients 100% of her attention, whether it be on the phone or in person. She strives to meet their needs and is not afraid to work with the physicians if she has a concern. She is always willing to help her co-workers at a moment's notice.
Commitment to Excellence: Marta strives to do the best for cardiology patients. She brings up workflow issues for the advice nurses that need to be addressed and follows through to make sure it is addressed by the physicians. She brings problems and solutions to the manager to enhance patient care.
Clinical Skills: As a former ER RN, Marta has excellent clinical skills. She has excellent assessment and triage skills, assists the Level 3 RN in starting IV's and jumps in to help if the patient condition warrants to help stabilize the patient for transfer to the ED.
Compassionate Care: Marta delivers compassionate care to her patients. She does not cut her patient off when speaking with them, allows them to express their needs fully without interruption, and empathizes with her patients. Patients ask for her by name when they come in as they usually speak with her over the phone.
Positive Influence: Marta always comes to work with a smile and a can-do attitude. She never complains, approaches all patients with a smile, and "How may I help you?" She never has a negative attitude and works to turn a negative situation into a positive situation. Overall, Marta is an asset to Kaiser Permanente and always keeps the patients' best interests in mind.
