It is with pleasure that I nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. After blacking out and falling at home, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I had fallen on my left side, injuring my ear and tearing the skin on my left pinky finger. There was also concern that I could have a concussion or a brain bleed. This nurse went to work immediately to get me into a room and bed, assessed my injuries, and ordered necessary tests. Just as important, this nurse made me feel comfortable and at ease. She helped me to the potty chair near my bed twice during my stay. It's not always easy to allow someone you just met to be a part of something so personal, but she made it easy for me. She joked, that's why I am here, girl! That is just one example of how this nurse made being in the emergency room easy for me.

She checked in on me often. This nurse is a skilled, kind and caring nurse who made my emergency room stay a pleasure.
