A patient of Martha's had a friend who had been in an accident and passed away. Martha talked with her patient and made him feel better and checked on him very often. Martha also relayed the information to the next nurse caring for the patient, who then also checked on him often. When the wife of the patient arrived, Martha was talking to him about his friend, the good times, and the friend's passing and being taken care of now. Martha went above and beyond her duties. She took great care of him physically, but also cared enough to take care of him emotionally due to a problem that had nothing to do with why he was in the hospital. May God bless her.
