Maggie has been a strong nurse ever since she started on our unit. Her assessments are awesome. She doesn’t miss much and she has a tender, caring heart. The one instance I can think of was a few days ago a patient was declining. This patient was so nice and so sweet, but very sick. Eventually he was made comfort measures only. When the patient passed, Maggie was there, holding his hand. His last words to her were, “I feel good”. In the worst situation that he could’ve been in, Maggie was there to make him feel no pain and relax, and that’s the epitome of her practice. This is only one case, but there have been so many, and she stayed strong throughout all the crazy situations thrown at her and the painful stuff that she’s had to go through. She stays positive and puts one hundred percent of herself in her care.
