Martha Martin 2025, BSN, RN, CMSRN
I am honored to nominate Martha Martin for the Nurse Leader of the Year Award. Her journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and natural ability to inspire those around her.
She began her nursing career as a NAP on 5 North, and from the very beginning, she stood out for her work ethic and passion for patient care. After completing her preceptorship and orientation, she wasted no time stepping into the role of preceptor herself, taking one of our new graduate nurses under her wing. Her commitment to growth and mentorship did not go unnoticed — within just six months, she was promoted to Clinical Nurse Coordinator on 5 North, where she has continued to thrive.
As a leader, she sets an incredible example every day. Our staff consistently praises her approachability, willingness to lend a hand at any moment, and her exceptional clinical skills, especially when it comes to starting IVs, where she is regarded as a true expert.
Beyond the unit, she extends her leadership as the Co-Chair of the CNC Council, where she presents monthly and was recently honored with the opportunity to speak at the CNC Summit. Martha Martin is more than just an asset to 5 North; she is a driving force of excellence and inspiration throughout MountainView Hospital.
Her dedication to her team, her patients, and our hospital community makes her the ideal candidate for Nurse Leader of the Year.
