Martha Merrill, RN

Being in the end-stage renal failure and beginning dialysis is difficult enough, but the flood of information coming at a new dialysis patient can be overwhelming to the point of discouragement! My husband himself was in that situation. Martha has been our dialysis nurse since the beginning. She patiently explained the whole process, answered endless questions with gentleness and compassion, and even offered her personal cell phone number, inviting him to call her after hours if he needed to(and he has on occasion)! She is firm~ not abiding excuses or deviations from prescribed therapy(which i especially appreciate) ~ but gentle. We have never experienced the level of care and genuine concern Martha provides. She has made this whole lifestyle change less frightening, and we are so very grateful for her. We fell we have a friend and advocate in Martha. She has gone over-the-top to provide exceptional medical care and service and is definitely worthy of being recognized for her outstanding contributions to patient care.
