Martha showed all the signs of a loving nurse, but more like the doting aunt who you can't wait for the next visit. She did everything in her power to make my son's stay here great. My son has cerebral palsy and she joked and played with him trying to get him not to be so jumpy and irritable. She always showed compassion, even while he was being so difficult that it was even hard for his me to deal with. As the day started she said by the end of the day we are going to be best friends. In which he replied with a cry, "are you done yet?". Each time she entered she would say, "are we friends yet?", and each time I saw him soften. By the end of the day he gave her a thumbs up and a smile. When she saw him smile she said, "See I knew you liked me!". Then off she went to make another kid smile and make his momma smile also. Thank you Martha for making me smile along with my son.
