We had a 20-year-old who attempted suicide by hanging. When he was medically cleared and ready to eat, he was experiencing some jaw and throat pain. When Martha heard about this, our kitchen was already closed. She ordered him some soup from Leo's, picked it up and did not accept any money from his mom. She paid for it and used her lunch break to pick it up for him. It was a small gesture but her daily care and concern for patients and our staff is an incredible asset to our department.
