Since Martha took over the Lead Position 2 years ago she has brought an exemplary role to the Interventional Radiology Department. For not too long there was a patient we took care of in the IR department for months. During COVID. We cared for her up until her discharge. Not soon after the family contacted the IR department to inform us that they had trouble finding the after-care supplies needed to care for their mother. The ones they did find happen to be significantly expensive.

Martha took it upon herself to offer to find the supplies online and pay for them out of her own pocket. When unfortunately the patient passed away, the family invited us all to the funeral. The daughter mentioned how her mother expressed great gratitude for Martha's generosity and the care she provided her. Dr. E, Chief Interventional Radiologist, has mentioned many times how lucky we are to have a Registered Nurse that has the intellect and know-how like Martha. One that delivers compassionate care to patients with maintaining a team of happy individuals.
