Martha is a true "Angel". Kaiser is extremely fortunate to have such a caring, kind, and loving nurse. It is always a pleasure to see Martha even under difficult times as she radiates warmth and beauty, the incredible tasks she performed and not even knowing it. At the time was a true miracle, this visit is for my dad and she has been lovely as were many others but the story that makes her very special and extra extraordinary is as follows.
My mother was in the hospital 2 1/2 years ago, the doctors and nurses did everything for my mom with her pneumonia and illness. We (my father, myself -her daughter, and my brother) were all here to wish my mom her final goodbyes. Martha tended to her came in to say goodbye as my mom was not responsive to any of us at the time. We are Italian, and my mother taught Italian and Spanish at the university for many years. Martha placed her hands on my mom's heart and was saying goodbye to her in Spanish. We all speak English; my mother opened her eyes and spoke back to her. Martha is our "Angel" we had her (my mom) for 2 1/2 more years all because of "her Martha". She is everything a nurse should be. A role model indeed.
