Marthalyn is always the kindest and sweetest person to her patients and her coworkers! She effortlessly goes above and beyond to care for her patients and goes the extra mile without being asked or prompted! She is a tremendous team player and always pops around to see if anyone else needs a helping hand!
Working in PACU, we work with many anxious patients that are just waking up from one of the scariest, anxiety-driven moments of their lives. There is one patient interaction that stands out to me recently; a patient went through a pretty traumatic procedure and Marthalyn was steadily calm, reassuring, caring, and attentive. She made sure the patient was as comfortable as she could be throughout the day, managed her pain, addressed all questions and concerns, calmed her fears, initiated orders while holding her in PACU, and kept the family informed with a smile on her face. Marthalyn is one of the sweetest and most genuine people to work with! She is very selfless, caring, and compassionate!
