"Marti is truly a compassionate nurse" writes one of the Patient Care Managers in the Emergency Department. During the week of a computer conversion in the Emergency Department, an elderly patient was discharged home and left without her pain medication prescriptions. The patient had no way of coming back to pick up her medication prescriptions and the family were unable to return as well.

Marti facilitated getting the prescriptions filled and took them to the patient's home personally after working over thirteen hours. She met this patient's need that night and deserves recognition.
