My Aunt had to have surgery at the hospital. We also found out her kidneys were not functioning enough and she would have to start dialysis. Martie McFarland was our nurse on duty. In all my years of visiting hospitals, I have never met a nurse like Martie. She not only provided compassionate care for my aunt but also for myself and my family. She spent extra time talking with us and answering all our questions. Her kindness, compassion, and skills were unlike any I have ever witnessed. Martie truly loves her work. To me, Martie is the nurse everyone should strive to be like. We love you, Martie.
