One of the patients in the ICU was made DNR. Martin made arrangements for her granddaughter to come to see her before we withdrew care. He also did a great job communicating with the family via FaceTime and sent a picture of himself holding the patient's hand to let them know their family member wasn't alone. We are so lucky Martin came to work with us! After making arrangements with Senior Leadership, Martin even stayed in the room with the granddaughter (in PPE of course) until the patient passed away.
