April 2023 Honoree
Martin Quezada, BSN, RN
Martin's easy-going personality as well as his ability to speak to our father at his level without being technical and in his language, made a huge difference in our father's demeanor and his willingness to put up with the pain after his femur fracture and surgery. Even in the face of recurring staff shortages witnessed during our father's stay at the hospital and what we perceived as an overwhelming patient load because of this, Martin's demeanor towards our father and the family who were here visiting him never changed. Nursing can be a thankless job as people will at times focus on the negatives. Finding someone who still enjoys the job while showing true empathy towards his patients we feel deserves some recognition.
Thank you, Martin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
