I arrived at the clinic as an emergency during the night, underwent surgery, and then found myself completely "blank" on the ward. It was particularly difficult that I didn’t have a smartphone. I urgently needed essential medication, but in my emergency situation, I hadn’t been able to pack anything except my insurance card. My neighbors and friends weren’t listed in the phone book, and the only email address I thought I knew for my girlfriend was incorrect. Nurse Martina took over, making several attempts to reach someone. However, since it was Saturday, she had to leave a message on the answering machine, asking for a call back. Throughout my stay, Martina accompanied me in a warm-hearted, empathetic, and calm manner. She always had an open ear for anything I needed. In particular, Martina made me feel completely well cared for.
