His genuine kindness, concern, and compassion made him stand out above and beyond the other nurses. He showed genuine concern for my many pain issues.
I had an overnight stay for a heart cath procedure. I had a very bad (and painful) night on Tuesday. Nano came into my room at shift change Wednesday morning with two of the midnight nurses. I was emotional and had been crying from the pain. Nano immediately asked, "How are you?" and smiled at me. Throughout the rest of my stay he went above and beyond to make me comfortable without being asked. My procedure had been moved back to later in the day due to an insurance issue and I had been without food or water after midnight Tuesday until 4:00 p.m. the afternoon of Wednesday when my procedure finally took place.
Nano was kind, understanding, and very attentive to my needs while he was tending to his other patients. My husband and my friends who visited all commented on what a friendly, efficient, and exceptional nurse he was. His genuine kindness, concern, and compassion made him stand out above and beyond the other nurses. He showed genuine concern for my many pain issues. Nano was able to get my pain medication, which he did almost immediately after his shift started.
We feel strongly that Mr. Gonzalez should be given the highest award, accolades, advancements, and honorable mention available for his outstanding care and wonderful attitude toward his patients. You are extremely fortunate to have this young man in your organization. In my 65 years, I have had several surgeries and procedures, and Nano is by far the best nurse I have ever encountered.
