Dr. Henriques, fondly known as "Dr. H" by her students, fills many roles, and teacher is simply one of them.  On a daily basis, she is a leader, top notch nurse, exceptional teacher, role model, mentor, friend, and counselor to her students.  This semester, she has impacted our lives inside and outside the classroom.  Following are some of the remarks that students had to say about Dr. H:  She's a great listener; my favorite thing about Dr. H is the way she motivates and challenges me to be the best student and nurse I can be; her office door and heart is always open to listen to our fears and worries; she supports us and truly cares about our well-being; she's very genuine about wanting us all to succeed; she does everything possible to help us succeed; I am thankful for the ease of mind and reassurance Dr. H provides us through her true compassion and prayer; she can provide humorous relief in any situation; I love the way she constantly wanted us to learn and improve our skills during ED clinical rotation; she sees the best in people; she is a gentle soul; she lives out the fruit of the spirit; she's the funniest teacher I've ever had; she helps you believe in and be confident in yourself; it is a blessing to know her and have her as a professor and role model.  Dr. H, thank you for the impact you have made on our nursing profession and more importantly on our lives. We have truly learned from Dr. H what caring really is.  We hope one day to be half the nurse and person you are today!
