Mary Ann Sheerin is a Hospice Nurse who arrived to see a patient and found the patient in distress without appropriate management of medications for pain and anxiety. She arranged for hospice. She took down the patient's bed in the home [disassembled it] to obtain a hospital bed, since the spouse could not do it. She stayed with the patient until the inpatient admission was completed.
Another time she was seeing another nurse's patient and found the patient in uncontrollable pain and necrotizing fasciitis. She put the patient in a wheelchair, transferred the patient to the daughter's car, then met the patient at the hospital to sit with the patient until the patient was calm. Later she called back to check on the patient and daughter.
She goes out of her way to "do what is needed to be done" in the best interest of the patient.
