Mary Anne knelt down on the floor beside a behavioral health patient who has developmental delays. The patient was upset, crying and banging her head on the side rails. Mary Anne got pediatric band-aids with cute designs on them to cover her 'boo boos', told her she didn't need to worry and that she is safe with us. We don't typically see pediatric patients on our unit. To see Mary Anne working with this patient warmed my heart.
