Mary Aselin, BSN, RN

Mary is one of the most caring, sweet, understanding at the same time professional. She was the best possible nurse we could ever have asked for to care for my husband. She was exceptionally caring, kind, gentle, but also very human. She made him laugh, which was a rare occasion, and made me very happy.

My husband and I were both struggling with his condition, but she made an extremely difficult situation bearable. I asked a lot of questions, and she kept me informed weekly and, in the end, daily. She helped me get through the hardest thing in my life that I’ve ever had to go through with dignity. She was honest and told me step-by-step what would happen and how it would end.

It made me more comfortable, if that’s possible and everything happened exactly how she said it would. Death is a horrible thing, as everyone knows, but Mary did her best to get us through it gently. With Mary by our side, it was bearable. We both love, Mary. I will never forget her kindness. We were married 66 years, and it was a very rough time. Mary was the best to get us both through this difficult time. We will never forget your kindness.
