I was assigned nurses Wendy Woo, Mary & Disha for my post-op care. I spent the majority of my waking hours with Wendy. I could not have asked for a more compassionate, skilled & genuine nurse. Her kindness & attentiveness made me feel at ease and aided in my recovery. She went above and beyond to help get me a bed extension (I am 6 ft 1in tall), took her time sitting me up to ensure I didn’t feel dizzy, offered patience every time I rang the call bell to use the restroom or needed attention, ensured the bed, tray, food, and entertainment system were positioned just how I liked, explained in greater detail what medications were administered during the procedure, and helped me feel at ease about any pain & discomfort (including emotional discomfort) I was feeling. She even facilitated a quick reassurance visit with my partner who is a physician and was not able to visit me until after 7:45pm. I felt as if I was her only patient. That takes skill. Given that an ablation is a relatively routine procedure, I did not expect to feel the level of loneliness and sadness that accompanies being a patient. Your staff ensured that I was comforted throughout my anxiety & fear. Next was nurse Mary who cared for me overnight. Mary was also kind, thorough and direct. I felt confident in her care and she showed compassion when I expressed feelings of anxiety. Disha was my nurse in the morning and took time to walk me around the unit so I could regain my post-surgical strength. She showed compassion, patience and allowed me to recover at my own pace. I did not feel rushed out of the facility and was allowed to move at my own pace. Thank you for leading this incredible team. My genuine gratitude for the exceptional care. Also, the facility is beautiful & clean.
