First of all, I have had excellent care while in the hospital for a month but there are certain people that stand out and leave a lasting impression, and my nurse Mary was one of them. Mary is not only an incredible nurse but a wonderful human being.

When you are in a hospital situation where you cannot care for yourself and are dependent on others to care for you, it means everything for those caretakers to show compassion, kindness, and professionalism. Mary goes above and beyond in taking care of her patients. She always has a smile and positive attitude and is there for you in everything she does. I knew under her care I would always get my medications on time, that she would be there with every push of a button; that all my needs would be taken care of and that everything would be done right. To her it’s not just a job but truly about taking care of the patient and never begrudgingly. She is such an asset to the nursing field and certainly to your department here. We need more Marys in this world. I appreciate so much all her loving care and expertise. You’ve got a shining star in her. I truly have had good care in the month that I’ve been here and my thanks and gratitude go out to you all.
