April 2021 Honoree
mary barta, BSN, RNC-OB, IBCLC
Luckily, our baby was very healthy, but as first-time parents, we questioned everything we were doing. Mary explained everything to make our breastfeeding journey easier. She continued to come and check on us and I was always happy to see her walk through the door as I knew I was in good hands. Mary came back on our last day in the hospital and took the time to walk through all things we needed to do at home to care for our baby. I was a little nervous about breastfeeding. Mary took the time to sit with us and reassure us everything was well and was so excited when our baby was swallowing well. We were in good hands during our entire hospital stay, but we especially loved Mary and continue to talk about how much we appreciate her and making our first labor and delivery experience more comfortable.
Thank you, Mary, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
