I have seen her rub someone's back for almost 2 hours to help get her through the pain to support the patient's goal of no pain medication for delivery.
I have been fortunate enough to have Mary Beth as my nurse for all 3 of my children, with my last baby L, she talked me down when I didn't think I could take the pain. She held me still and helped me breathe for my epidural procedure. Her encouragement helped me so much! She respectfully assisted me to the bathroom during that first shaky and embarrassing time. I will never forget that she stayed over 3 hours past her shift because they were busy, and she was worried about my safety with being high risk, for that, I owe her a HUGE thank you!

I not only know Mary Beth as her patient, but also as a coworker. She cares for her patients with compassion, for example, I have seen her rub someone's back for almost 2 hours to help get her through the pain to support the patient's goal of no pain medication for delivery. She will courageously stand up to the physicians to fight for what is right to protect her patients.

She will jump in and help any nurse that needs assistance. She always comes in when needed on her days off when we’re short-staffed. She will do everything she can to find resources for patients who financially need assistance whether it's WIC, getting them a car seat, pack n play, or volunteering to sew blankets for the Morgan’s Gift Foundation to give to those who need them. She is an amazing nurse and a prime example of a nursing leader that I look up to. Mary Beth deserves to be praised and celebrated!
