Ms. Mary is an exemplary nurse. She is one who goes above and beyond what is required of her to give her patients the care they need. She provides comfort, encouragement, humor, and inspiration to her patients.
I have been experiencing pain so excruciating that I felt I couldn't go on. She has been with me, doing all she could to give me relief. She kept me informed of all tests and procedures that were scheduled for me and checked on me often. As I was experiencing sadness due to my illness, she was like a ray of hope and told me that everything was going to be okay.
The world needs more caregivers like Ms. Mary. I am blessed that she was my nurse. She exemplifies all of the traits of the DAISY Award and more.
