I am writing to you concerning the care given to my loved one during her stay in your hospital ICU. My family and I wish to recognize many of your staff members and the wonderful care they provided. One nurse, in particular, stood out above them all as an angel of mercy and should be recognized. This nurse was Mary Callahan.
One night, during my loved one's stay, her condition was rapidly approaching "the valley of the shadows". It was not only her lowest point; it was my family's lowest point too!
That night our nurse, Mary, was able to spend extra time with us in our time of need which was a true blessing. Not only did she provide exceptional care, she went over and beyond that which exceeded my family's expectations in our time of need. Mary quickly realized that my family is closely knit and cared for us in a manner that is seldom seen in today's society. Mary's keen sense of awareness, extensive training in family needs, and heavy duty, all-purpose smile gave us blessed assurance when we were at our lowest. Her innate ability to cushion the impact of all the fears and stress we were enduring was simply phenomenal. Her gifted ability to defuse needs and calm people in troubled waters is beyond words. Suffice it to say that Mary left a lasting impression on us all.
