The first week of the BSN program at Regis seemed like the stuff of nightmares. I was so overwhelmed and felt like all the confidence I had mustered going into the program was drained on day one. But then on day two, we had Dr. Castang! She made me feel so supported and so seen. Her kindness and passion got me through the first 5 weeks of this program in one piece. She truly believes in every single one of us and it always showed. She always told us to take care of ourselves which is something that was really easy to forget to do in this program. Her dedication to every aspect of nursing is admirable and I hope to carry that into my practice. I will be a better nurse because of her, I know it.
