The family of a very critical patient in the MICU asked if a Catholic priest could be called in to pray with their loved ones at the bedside. Their nurse, Taylor, called numerous parishes throughout the night to try to locate a priest with no success. Her fellow nurse co-worker, Mary, shared with Taylor that her uncle is a Catholic priest, and proceeded to help facilitate contacting him. Despite being the middle of the night, Mary and Taylor were able to finally have a Catholic priest come in to pray with the family. Through collaboration, Taylor and Mary went above and beyond to help a family in need at the darkest time of their lives. They demonstrated outstanding teamwork and compassion in their patient care.
