As one of Mary’s patients, I was always treated as all veterans should be treated: with respect and kindness, and she never acted as though it was a burden to spend time with me.
One day while I was in at the pain/neurology clinic Mary discovered that I was having difficulty getting an appointment with a female Acupuncturist without having to wait. Mary immediately took it upon herself to step in and have a consult with me at that time. At each appointment, Mary always asks about any changes since previous sessions. Mary always informed me of each step of the acupuncture process and made sure I was part of the decision-making process. She also provided additional support when I had difficulty getting an appointment with another service she reached out to the service herself. As one of Mary’s patients, I was always treated as all veterans should be treated: with respect and kindness, and she never acted as though it was a burden to spend time with me. I have had acupuncture from a variety of providers over the years, and many had at least some level of success. The successful outcome was outstanding, partly due to the medical style used and mostly due to the professionalism, knowledge, experience, and tentativeness of working with Mary. The hope she gave me through the success of my treatment with her is invaluable.
