I am honored to nominate Mary Ellen for the DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary compassion, dedication, and advocacy during my mother-in-law’s final days.

Mary Ellen provided not only great medical care but also emotional support that went beyond expectations. She ensured my mother-in-law was as comfortable as possible during a difficult diagnosis, advocating for her needs with kindness and professionalism. She didn’t just care for her as a patient—she cared for her as a person, with dignity and respect.

Her kindness extended beyond my mother-in-law to our entire family. She took the time to explain what was happening, offered comfort when we felt overwhelmed, and reassured us in ways that made an incredible difference during such a heartbreaking time. Her compassion helped ease our pain, and we will always be grateful for the way she walked alongside us in those final moments. She even cried with us at our mother's passing.
