Mary Grace Bestoguey, RN
We had a child come in for surgery with his mom. We usually have stuffed animals to give the kids, but with Covid-19, we didn’t have any at this time. The mom told the child we would be giving him a toy and he was now disappointed that he wasn’t getting one. So Mary Grace went to CVS and bought him a stuffed toy and gave it to him. She made his day. Now he had a stuffed toy to hug while he went into OR. With no family there, it brought him a lot of comfort. It also showed his mom how caring Mary Grace was. The mom was so appreciative; she had tears in her eyes.
