Last week Mary had a family who came into the ER in order to be seen but were not really in any need of medical assistance. Instead the family was really homeless and did not know where to turn. Mary called Helping His Hands who were able to help the family the next day but they still needed to have a warm place to stay that night. Mary paid for the family to stay at the Red Roof for the night until they could meet up with Helping His Hands. Mary truly cares and when she can help, she definitely goes the extra mile. This story definitely reminds me of being a true "Good Samaritan" and setting up this family in need with a warm place to stay not just for the night but for an extended period of time where they will also be given the help they need to get out of a homeless situation.
