A patient came to the Cancer Center today with an extreme amount of anxiety. She asked me if the nurses would give her something to calm her down or she had thoughts of just leaving. Mary came out to get her and I explained her situation. Mary was so kind and compassionate to this patient's concerns. Once back in the treatment area, Mary's same caring personality helped the patient stay calm. Upon leaving, the patient asked for our manager's contact information to call and express how wonderful Mary was. The patient was so impressed and thankful for the great care today and especially the hug that Mary gave her upon her departure. Thank you, Mary.
