Mary J Doyle, RN

I went to the clinic after a personal situation threw off my morning and potentially my labs. Mary Doyle met me with compassion, as she always does. My blood pressure was high, which is not normal for me. Mary sat down to chat. She talked to me about what was going on, as she could tell I was upset. She listened, never stopped being compassionate or professional, and then relayed my situation to Dr. K. She advocated for both my medical and emotional health.

After talking to the doctor, she returned to the room and talked to me. My health questions had been answered, so Mary talked about life, teaching, and our different strengths in life. I don’t think she realized how much I needed her in those moments. I have three girls at home and a baby on the way. My prayer every day is that they are met with compassion and grace. Little did I know how much I needed the same. I want Mary to be recognized not only for her outstanding nursing abilities but also for being a wonderful person. I’ll never forget the way she treated me. Avera is lucky to have Mary!
