I was a total nervous wreck, a basket case, over going under anesthesia at my extreme weight, as well as the procedure itself. When I'm in that frame of mind, it's virtually impossible to calm me down. Yet, with her personality and people skills, she was able to relax me and banish my fears within minutes. She even had me laughing and joking…all without compromising her duties and her professionalism. This may seem like a small thing to you but, to a patient with anxiety issues like me, she was a godsend. She was born to be a nurse and she excels at it, and Carroll Hospital and its patients are very, very lucky to have her onboard.
Mary Jo is extraordinarily special in my book.
