One morning a nurse walked into my room with a big smile, but at the same time unbeknown to this nurse, I was in tears. As Mary Jo Pavilon was making the proper introductions the sadness on my face was noted and this nurse immediately stopped and began to comfort me. She didn't ask any questions but was full of compassion and genuine concern. Mary Jo comforted me and brought inner healing to me even though I was in Little Company of Mary Hospital for physical healing. I would like to thank all of the staff that attended to my bedside, but for the DAISY Award I recommend Mary Jo.
I was taking a "blood gas" test and I was very nervous about it and Mary Jo held my hand as the technician administered the test. The next day she was not assigned to me, but came to say hello to me anyway. Mary Jo has an excellent spirit and treats patients with a special caring and compassionate attitude. She made a difference and was very conducive in helping me to cope with adverse circumstances at a very challenging time in my life. Mary Jo Pavilon makes life's "lows" become "highs". Thank you!
