Mary was the care nurse for my family member. Though their illness progressed much more quickly than expected, Mary was a kind and caring voice.

My family member was quiet but almost immediately took to Mary. Mary took the time to get to know their story. Something we do so little of today. They would talk, and my family member would smile and give out a small laugh.

As my family member’s illness progressed, they had more difficulty eating. Mary took the time to sit with them during breakfast. She never rushed them to do anything and ensured my family member’s needs were met. Mary made them comfortable and at peace with what was happening.

Mary is not only a caregiver but a loving, kind soul.
