Mary Kato has worked for Hoag for the past 22 years in labor and delivery and is now a clinical ladder II nurse. In her position she does precepting of new employees and students. Mary influenced her little sister, Lori Berberdt, to apply for a position at Hoag and she is now a nurse in gamma knife working as a brain tumor nurse navigator. This is her second DAISY award; she won her first approximately one year ago.
