I would like to take a moment to thank Mary Kay for being so kind to me during my stay. Her enthusiasm for her job is something I’ve rarely witnessed in all my hospital stays in the past. Her kindness and compassion she showed never diminished from the beginning of her long 12+ hour shift to the end of the day when she came to tell me she was leaving for the day. On my last day she came in after report to wish me well the next day when I was leaving for Southfield for my procedure. My son has been a critical care nurse for 12 years. When he started I told him to treat his patients the way he would want any nurse to treat his Mom and Dad. I pray my son has the same level of caring and compassion that Mary Kay has shown me.
