Mary had a patient who was truly suffering from a newly diagnosed stage 4 cancer. She brought her a beautiful lily, just to help brighten her day. One of the physicians came to see this patient and remarked on the beautiful flower. The patient immediately expressed her gratitude for Mary bringing this for her and how much it meant to her to be shown such compassion at this time of her life.
