A patient's husband, who was also a patient at Renown, was visiting from his hospital room and had a seizure. Mary's quick thinking and phone calls to the provider enabled treatment of the husband and he was treated appropriately for his condition. She also went above and beyond to help her patient rest better by calling to get a hospital bed into the Renown Inn where the husband would be staying until she was discharged.

Mary helped ease her patient's mind, helped their son who was worried how he was going to care for both of his parents, and the patient (who was not hers) directly with his ability to be discharged in a timely manner with the correct medical equipment.

Her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for her patients and their families is what make her an amazing nurse.
