"Today was one of the hardest days of our lives. My youngest sister lost her unborn daughter. It was so heartbreaking for all of us, and especially my sister.

Mary was her nurse today and helped my sister deliver her lost child. I had actually gone to nursing school with Mary and seeing a familiar face helped. We couldn't have asked for a better nurse to take care of her. She showed such compassion and care working with my sister. We are forever grateful.

She made a bracelet for my sister and for the baby. With the baby's name on the bracelet for my sister and another that read "mama" for the baby. It was such a sweet and will carry more meaning than she probably knows.

Not only that she took pictures for my sister and stayed after her shift to take them for her. Giving my sister something so sweet and so kind is something we will forever be grateful for.

Nursing is a difficult profession, but being able to touch a patient and family's life like she did today is something every nurse should strive for. Especially when it comes to difficult times like these.
