Mary Lou was nominated by a GFH employee who was also a patient's family member. When coming to the Renal Center 3 times a week wasn't working for them, Mary Lou taught this family how to do home hemodialysis and she was an excellent teacher. She was patient and thorough and helped the family understand the why of it and put their fears at ease. She was available to them 24/7.
