It is with great pride that we award the inaugural DAISY Educator Award to Mary May Bachiller from 5T. She consistently exemplifies the qualities of an extraordinary nurse educator, modeling clinical excellence, compassion, and professionalism while fostering confidence and growth in new nurses.
She creates a supportive learning environment where residents feel safe asking questions, thinking critically, and developing independence. Through her hands-on guidance and thoughtful coaching, she balances stepping in when needed while empowering learners to take ownership of patient care. Her approach reflects the KNOWN behaviors we strive to uphold in how she teaches, supports, and develops others.
