Mary was recognized by the daughter of a patient who "rallied after six weeks, three hospitals, rehab and hospice." She shared how comforting it was to know that with Mary caring for her father, he was not just being looked after, she saw him actively engaged, with his spirits raised and sharing a connection. She described Mary as "a spectacular person who should be recognized for her all-around excellence as a nurse, family advocate, communicator, and healer."
