I was originally scheduled for surgery the morning of June 26th. It was a surgery that I was very nervous about. My good fortune was to have Mary Morgan assigned to me. As the day went on my surgery was pushed later and later in the day. Unfortunately, with the surgery being pushed back several times, my anxiety regarding the surgery would start to grow. However, Mary was tremendous and kept me from getting too nervous. She would check in with me often, made sure I was okay and when appropriate she added the perfect amount of humor as needed.

Due to various family related illnesses, I have been in quite a few hospitals and I have met quite a few nurses. But when you have a chance to have Mary as your Pre-Op Nurse, one is extremely fortunate. She is extremely kind, very warm and caring and was spot on in keeping me from worrying about the surgery scheduled that day. Even though my surgery was delayed until about 3:30 p.m. that day and even though Mary had to be swamped in handling and working with the ever changing surgery schedule that day you would never know it. Mary was always upbeat in a great mood and made time to check in with me often. If it wasn't for her, I would have been so tense and uptight for the surgery.

Mary is great! Please acknowledge her and her great work. I don't think I have been able to fully express how much I appreciate her and what a true difference she made in my experience at Swedish Cherry Hill.
